Sustainability, an Australia-based consultancy, has been providing environment and worker safety consulting for extractive industries internationally since 1999 and in Myanmar since 2001. Between 2001 and 2005, Sustainability completed numerous environmental baseline assessments, impact studies and monitoring reports for Ivanhoe Mines’ operations in Monywa and for exploration activities throughout Myanmar. More recently, the company participated in confidential environmental and technical due diligence of legacy mining sites for potential mining investors in 2012 and 2013. The consultancy has also completed environmental assessments for operational mines and exploration activities for Canadian and Australian-based companies.
